Biography

R. Louis Lallemand, MBA is a Chief Strategy Officer, and innovator with over 15 years of success driving growth, enhancing performance, and sustaining leadership within complex healthcare organizations. Mr. Lallemand has an extensive research background at both Harvard and Duke universities. At Harvard, he worked in the biology lab of Harvard University professor and Nobel Laureate Walter Gilbert, who discovered DNA sequencing technology.

Under Dr. Gilbert, Mr. Lallemand’s research moreover led to the discovery of a novel genetic code within zebrafish. At Duke University’s orthopedics lab, Mr. Lallemand discovered a novel marker for prosthetic losing in situ. His areas of focus in this lab included examining the role of matrix metalloproteinases in inflammation, cytokine, and growth factors involved within inflammation and repair of tissues.

Mr. Lallemand’s business experience includes having established multi-specialty healthcare organizations involving vertical integration with an emphasis on technology and in house referral systems. Currently, he serves on the board of Mariposa Technology and a consultant to the healthcare sustainability and relief effort in Haiti. Mr. Lallemand earned an MBA in Finance from Columbia Business School, an MD from Duke University, and his bachelor’s in neurobiology from Harvard College.
